One full charge provides up to 1 month usage. This is based on running 3 - 4 daily sterilization cycles. The battery level is indicated upon touching the screen.

We recommend not putting your DrinkmL bottle in a dishwasher. However, if you do need to wash your bottle then warm soapy water should do the trick. 

Using the UV sterilization function before using your DrinkmL will ensure it is fresh and ready for you. Since the the sterilization process does not extend to the bottle's rim or the outer surface of the bottle, we recommend regular cleaning of these areas. If you do use other beverages then you will need to use warm soapy water for the inside of the bottle. 

The DrinkmL bottle's UV technology works best to penetrate dangerous bacteria with clear water. Therefore, we do not recommend cloudy water or any other non water liquids for sterilization. If you do use your DrinkmL bottle with any other beverages such as fizzy drinks, tea or coffee - make sure to hand wash your DrinkmL with warm soapy water. Remember the lid should not be submerged in water at any time. 

Yes! In fact we recommend that as it cleans the bottle, preventing mould which creates that musty smell you will know from reusable bottles. 

Yes. Ensure your DrinkmL is empty of any liquids and you'll be able to carry it either in your hand luggage or in the luggage hold via a checked bag.

A simple damp cloth wipe is enough for the cap. Submerging into water will highly risk damaging the electronics built in the cap. 

Yes! Your DrinkmL bottle keeps your water hot for 12 hours and cold for 24 hours. 

The sterilization cycle is activated by pressing and holding the screen for 2 seconds and will be reflected on your DrinkmL screen. A sterilization cycle is 180 seconds long. 

Tapping the screen once will turn on your DrinkmL screen and instantly show the temperature of your water.

- If the water in your DrinkmL bottle is above 60°C the screen ring light will show red.

-If the water temperature is between 37°C and 60C the screen light will show green.

-If the water temperature is below 37°C the screen will show a light blue.

By tapping the lid twice the DrinkmL sets 90 minute reminders. A soft alarm will sound every 90 minutes with a yellow ring on the lid.

Note: The timer resets if you stop interacting with your DrinkmL e.g. checking for temperature, activating the sterilization cycle or opening your DrinkmL. 

Ultraviolet (UV) is a type of energy produced naturally by the sun and can be recreated artificially. The DrinkmL recreates this UV at a wavelength range of 260 - 280nm. UV is one of the leading water sterilization methods, used to destroy harmful bacteria that cause illness and disease in drinking water. Other methods used for water sterilization other than UV are boiling or use of chemicals. The DrinkmL’s UV technology is a more effective method than boiling and without use of chemicals – keeping you water pure and clean.

The DrinkmL's lamps reproduce the natural phenomenon of the sun creating the UV which penetrates and destroys the DNA of bacteria. The DrinkmL's UV technology destroys 99% of bacteria including Escherichia coli (E. Coli) and Pseudomonas aeruginosa amongst others.

UV sterilization is safe and does not add any chemicals or change the taste of your water. Your DrinkmL bottle cap has a safety feature that prevents accidental sterilization cycle starting whilst the cap is not screwed on the bottle. Please avoid directly looking or directing the UV on to skin as continued exposure could damage your eyesight and skin.

No. The DrinkmL bottle does not contain a filter therefore cannot remove physical impurities from the water, heavy metals, chlorine or fluoride. Water filters work by physically blocking germs and bacteria while letting the water pass through the filter and will not always remove all the germs and bacteria that can make you unwell.

The DrinkmL wavelength operates at a range of 260 - 280nm which is not easily visible to the naked eye. However, if exposed in a dark setting onto a clear white paper you will be able to see the light emitted from the lid.
